Management Philosophy

INCUREATOR = INCUBATOR + CREATOR

“Increator” is a combination of “Incubator“, that discovers and fosters venture start-ups and “Creator” that creates markets or industries.

HSS GROUP focuses on two main categories. One is investment and nurturant, which is not much different from other incubators. On the other side is the creation of a new market that is characteristic of HSS Group.

First, HSS GROUP helps venture companies, with global ready technology, successfully commercialize and stand on their own feet. We discover hidden start-up companies that have yet to be realized technology. We then become an active channel to raise the funds they need. Finally, beyond offering advice, we jointly take responsibility for management and lead it to successful listing in the stock market.

Second, HSS GROUP creates a space for start-up companies to grow and develop through market creation. We plan and start businesses which people are not aware they need. Next, we combine them with existing industries so they can make that successful leap. Finally, we develop a marketing plan that quantitatively expands and qualitatively enhances the existing market.

Why HSS Group?

First, in a knowledge-based society, there is an easy mismatch between knowledge and capital, so there must be a bridge to connect them. In a knowledge-based society, newly acquired information or knowledge is protected by law as a kind of property. However, it is unlikely that people with new information or knowledge will necessarily be capitalists with the ability to commercialize it. If there is no one who knows the potential of new information and knowledge and acts as a channel for raising capital, new information and knowledge will be buried and the Korean economy will lose its growth opportunity.

Second, the government’s role in the growth of the Korean economy has been reduced and the market’s role has grown, so it needs the ability to measure the market and the future together. It is no exaggeration to say that the Korean economy has grown under the protection and support of the government. No one can deny the role of foreign companies in curbing their entry into the domestic market and preferential financing. But with globalization, these two policies are no longer possible. The government is suffering from a fiscal deficit due to increased welfare and spending on the public sector. There must be someone who knows a market that can find, nurture, and create new markets for the next generation.

Third, it is imperative that globally competitive companies emerge in the service sector. Korea has been able to enter the advanced economy by relying on manufacturing. Korea boasts the highest proportion of manufacturing among developed countries. But the advent and globalization of a knowledge-based society has made it impossible to grow dependent on manufacturing. Considering the high trade dependence of the Korean economy, it is not easy to maintain the previous level of economy unless the service sector is as competitive as the manufacturing industry in the near future. Only companies that have experienced major global service markets and have sufficient growth potential can support and expand the service sector competitiveness of the Korean economy.
