HSS Group finds startup companies and creates new markets in five areas:

First, non-face-to-face transactions. The current coronavirus epidemic is a global event, and world history will be divided before and after the coronavirus. What’s clear so far is that the era of face-to-face transactions, where there is possibility to spread the coronavirus, is coming to an end. Manufacturing or service industries that do not meet the ‘non-face-to-face’ principle cannot survive.

Second, green technology. Global warming is a clear fact. Exploring and fostering the manufacturing and service industries of technologies that control greenhouse gas generation is a must-do task for the future of mankind.

Third, the Fourth Industrial Revolution. New technology creates new industries and brings new growth engines. Korea succeeded in industrialization at the end of the second industrial revolution and actively participated in the third industrial revolution and entered the developed world. Korea cannot be a truly advanced country unless it leads the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Fourth, Employment. As the manufacturing industry is losing its competitiveness, good jobs are being saved as the service sector fails to expand its competitiveness. Young people are clinging to civil service exams and retirees rely on simple jobs created by the public sector. Good jobs are the best welfare.

Fifth, Global Market. It is no exaggeration to say that unlike the manufacturing industry, the service industry has remained mostly in Korea. However, Korea is losing its appeal as a market. As the population ages the fastest in the world, its absolute scale has also begun to decline. The service sector should also aim for the global market from the start.
